There is nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline no matter how many times it’s sent away. – Sarah Kay
Hi, thank you for stopping by! My name is Chelsea, and I’m the face behind Incarcerated by Association. Before I begin telling you a bit about myself, I’d like to invite you to look at my mission behind Incarcerated by Association here. My mission fuels my passion to write this blog.
My story began in 2009 when my loved one was arrested. I was 14 at the time, and a considerably sheltered kid. The arrest shattered my world and changed my life in ways I couldn’t begin to understand at the time. The arrest has given me a decade of extreme highs and extreme lows, soul searching, and more. After some much needed healing I decided to begin this blog to inspire and empower those who felt like I once felt.
I’m a pretty average person, and have certainly come to enjoy this about myself. I like all things astrology, nature, meditation, spirituality. I love reading and practicing yoga. My biggest joy and passion, which has become my craft, is writing. I enjoy journaling, blogging, poetry, short stories, lengthy but not novel-y stories.
I’ll never discuss the details of my loved one’s case, but I hope to inspire and empower you to not let your situation define you. For all my readers, I want my blog to serve as a reminder that whatever you are going through – you are NOT alone.
